COVID-19: The PMC's Plan for Reopening Safely

Updated: March 21, 2022

The global COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we interact with each other. The Peterborough Memorial Centre is committed to providing quality live entertainment in a safe and fun format. Here’s what we’re doing to keep you, our performers, and our staff safe:

Attending Peterborough Petes Games at the PMC
  • All home games are subject to strict health and safety measures put in place through the combined efforts of the Petes, Peterborough Memorial Centre, and Peterborough Public Health. Before each game, ticketholders will receive detailed communication outlining all health and safety protocols and procedures.
  • The PMC has always and will continue to follow instructions given by Peterborough Public Health and the Province.
  • Public Health guidelines must be followed. At this time, this includes:
    • Face coverings are encouraged at all times unless actively eating or drinking.
    • Physical distancing guidelines are encouraged. There are markers on the floor to help people stay 6-feet apart.
    • Hands are encouraged to be washed or sanitized regularly. Hand sanitizer is available throughout the facility.
  • Tickets can be scanned off a mobile device. Improved scanner technology enables tickets to be scanned from a further distance, so the person scanning the ticket and the customer do not need to be in close contact with each other.
  • Ticketholders are encouraged to remain in their ticketed seat at all times, unless going to the washroom, to purchase food and beverage, or in case of an emergency.
  • Doors will be propped open as much as possible, to reduce the need to touch door handles.
  • Each ticket will have a suggested gate of entry that ticketholders should use to enter the venue.
  • Common areas, including washrooms, door handles, accessible door operators and countertops, will be cleaned regularly.

Safety is our priority. We have taken enhanced health and safety measures for you, our artists, and employees, and we will continue to adapt to adhere to the latest Public Health guidelines. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and in some cases death. You must follow all posted instructions while attending events at the PMC. By attending events at the PMC you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. Let’s work together to help keep each other healthy!
